Join Us Sunday
We are located in West Garden Grove, near the 405 and 22 off of Valley View Street (in the neighborhood behind the Vons shopping center). You can park in either parking lot on both sides of both buildings. Both buildings are dark grey (“Cracked Pepper” to be color appropriate). The main auditorium is on the left and Adult Bible classes and Youth Ministries are in the two story building on the right. Feel free to park in either parking lot or even on Santa Catalina street if you want.
Sunday Teaching Time @ 9:00am; Sunday Worship Time @ 10:00am.
What sunday looks like
Our church is small, simple, and centered on Jesus and His Word. You won’t find a stage show or a polished production. What you will find is a group of ordinary people learning to follow Jesus together.
A typical morning includes:
• A few worship songs
• Prayer
• Teaching through the Bible
• Conversation and encouragement
Most Sundays feel more like a family gathering than an event.
Sunday teaching is about 45 minutes. Sunday main service about 1hr.
the setting & vibe
We are a casual group of believers. Everyone usually has a Bible on their phone or in hand, if not we can find one for you. The Sunday Teaching time is on the bottom floor of building B. The youth meet upstairs. The adults meet on the bottom floor. Coffee, donuts and an open discussion is encouraged. We use screens to share Scripture and current studies, but often give hand outs as well.
Sunday main service is in the auditorium on the left. Again, nothing fancy or formal. Coffee or snacks during the service is totally normal and fine. There is ample seating and plenty of clean bathrooms on campus.
We have a couple of worship teams that bring a variety of music styles and rotate weekly. People usaully greet one another and fellowship a bit. The message is always presented on a large screen for people to easily follow along on a Keynote / Powerpoint presentation.
what to wear
As previously mentioned, the church is pretty casual. If people want to dress up, that is fine, if not, that is fine too. We are in southern California and not many people take dress codes very seriously and neither do we. We just want you to feel comfortable and dress how you normally would.
what about the message
Sunday School is about 45 minutes and the Main Worship is about an hour. There is plenty of time for fellowship or to get connected with all of the other things going on around Grace Grove.
All of the messages are on large screens. The style is usually expository with some topical messages as well. At Grace Grove it is less about the messenger, and more about the message. We truly believe in the life giving — life changing message of Jesus and His Amazing Grace.
Our passion is to know God and make Him known one verse at a time. We really want to be a PLACE OF GRACE in SoCal. A safe place for people to gather with no religious additives or preservatives.
who generally comes
The church has people from the neighborhood and from the surrounding area in Orange County and beyond. You will find a mix of people. Families, young adults, and “seasoned saints” enjoying their retirement years. We believe God is an “equal opportunity Savior” and we welcome you to join us on any given Sunday.
what about kids
Kids are always welcome in the main service. Families are part of the church, not an interruption to it. If parents want to have their kids join the children’s ministry, they meet in Building B right next to the main auditorium. We can always have someone walk you over to show you where.
